About Us and Our Ragdolls...

Welcome to the Sandolls website.

I am a full time nurse and mother of three. I first fell in love with Ragdolls over 20 years ago after meeting a breeder in NY. After owning and breeding Siamese and Himalayans, there was something special and unique about the Ragdoll. It was my dream to one day own and breed Ragdolls.

After raising my three children, I began studying everything I could about Ragdolls.

After many months of researching for the best breeders, I finally purchased my first Ragdoll - a blue mitted neuter as a pet. My family all fell instantly in love with him and so began my search for the "perfect pair" to breed.

A Family Affair

I now have a breeding pair along with two future breeder females. I intend to "stay small" and will never just be a cattery.

The joy of watching "mom" give birth and watching them grow gives us much joy! My youngest daughter, Alyssa is my partner in socializing and raising the kittens.

Our Cats' Lifestyle

Located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, our cats have the run of our home. None of our cats are caged.

The newborns live in my bedroom with "mom" until they are about 4 weeks old. Then they are let out to be among the other cats to play and socialize with our "human " visitors.

It is so hard to see them go at 12 weeks because we become very attached to each and every one!

Luckily, we keep in contact with all of the new owners and their happiness with their kittens is what makes us love what we do! To hear the joy and see the updated pictures makes this all worthwhile!!

About Ragdolls

For those of you that are not familiar with the Ragdoll breed, let me just say that they are the most loving and "doglike" in their personality. They are all waiting at the door when I come home from work. They want to be with their "humans" all the time. We can't watch TV without one on our laps or right beside us. Many of them "fetch", dropping their toys beside us for us to throw for them.

They have semi-long, non-matting fur so they are very easy to maintain. They have blue eyes and come in various patterns and colors. I am keeping with the traditional lines of blue and seal, mitted and bi-color.

Ragdolls are the largest of domestic cats, some males reaching 20 pounds at their maturity in 3-4 years. The name "Ragdoll" comes from their ability to lay relaxed in your arms. They love to be held and coddled. They have no natural fear so they are wonderful with dogs and children.

A Sandolls Kitten...

All of our kittens are sold after receiving two sets of vaccinations and neutering/spaying prior to going to their new homes. They are vet-checked and come with a health guarantee.

I also love photography so will keep you updated with many pictures after you have selected a kitten. Any questions, always feel free to e-mail me.

Thank you for visiting our website.
